Application Procedures

Application Procedures

All applicants must complete and return the Application Form. A copy of the applicant’s most recent Report Card and a Reference Letter should also be submitted. These documents may be sent separately if extra time is needed to obtain them.

After Being Accepted

Parents/Guardians of successful applicants will be notified in writing. Upon acceptance, please submit the following documents to complete the applicant's student file:

• Copy of applicant’s Birth Certificate or Passport (AND proof of legal residency if not a Bahamian citizen)
• Copy of applicant’s National Insurance Board (NIB) Smart Card
• Copy of applicant’s Immunization Record (Covid vaccine not required for children at this time)
• Seat Fee of $1,500 (Note that this fee is non-refundable.)

Testing Procedures

Upon receipt of the application form, reference letter and report card, a date will be advised for testing. All applicants must sit the entrance examination in order to complete the evaluation process.

In order to determine the student's potential for success at Boost Academy, mathematics and English language skills will be assessed. A personal interview with the Director or other administrator may also be conducted to determine the social suitability of the candidate.

The test results will be combined with the applicant’s most recent report card, completed reference form and the results of the interview. This allows for a clear idea of where an applicant is in his or her development. Each of these items will be considered in order to establish a candidate’s suitability to attend Boost Academy.
